House Keeping Plan for the next 2 weeks

My weeks ahead… otherwise known as my housekeeping plan (laugh).
 
Kitchen (Saturday/Sunday):
  • go through cupboards and rearrange things
  • organize plastic container shelf
  • clean out kitchen drawers and organize
  • throw out broken things, set aside things that can be donated
  • take bottles to Sarcan for recycling
  • take papers to recycling centre
  • clean under the sink and organize all the plastic bags
  • wash and put away all dishes
  • scrub counters
  • clean inside of microwave
  • clean oven
  • go through fridge and get rid of old things
  • go through junk food cupboard
  • sweep and wash/scrub floors
  • tidy cats’ food area
  • wash and scrub table
  • declutter from around kitchen windows
  • declutter from on top of fridge
  • go through things on fridge and declutter
  • make list of what I have in terms of food, necessary for any meal plan

 

 

 

Living room (Monday after Gym)
  • Clean up kid’s craft area
  • go through kids’ craft supplies and toss out markers and pens that no longer work
  • borrow vacuum and vacuum in loveseat, under loveseat, under entertainment center, and rug area
  • put comforter back on loveseat
  • put towels away 
  • sweep under and behind love seat
  • get things out from the open vent (thanks to cats chasing toys down there)
  • tidy up computer area
    • sweep under table
    • put away all USB device cords
    • find a place for all the computer related items
    • throw away printer box
    • tidy up/file important papers from desk
    • find a new place for receipts
  • go through file folder and put together an envelope for tax services
  • go through book shelf, take off things that do not need to be there
  • clean top of book shelf
  • find a different container to put kids’ books in
  • research new shelving ideas (Ikea?)
  • tidy up the top of the entertainment centre
  • sweep under entertainment centre
  • go through my craft stuff to see what can be donated
  • go through kids’ school work/papers to see what can be kept (can’t keep EVERYTHING)
  • go through drawers in entertainment centre
  • go through games in entertainment centre and throw away ones that are falling apart or are missing peices
  • clean off/out side tables
  • wash floors

 

 
Hallway and Hall Closet (Tuesday after work):
  • take all the kids’ books off the small shelf and rearrange them (perhaps find a new shelving solution and return thing to G’s mother) 
  • sweep
  • move shelf and shoe racks to Gabe’s room
  • wash floors
  • go through contents of shoe rack and get rid of shoes that no longer fit anyone or are ruined or have not been worn for over a year (my shoes)
  • rearrange shelf and rack
  • go through contents of the coat hooks and get rid of light jackets that will no longer fit
  • go through closet and get rid of all the things that are no longer necessary
    • candy from Halloween
    • old text books I don’t need
    • old notes/files (other than tax information)
    • old games
  • find hook thing to put up the ironing board on the door
  • clean out and wash shelves in closet
  • wipe down doors
 
BoyChild’s Room (Wednesday after the gym):
  • sweep floor
  • take out toys from closet area and go through toys
  • look into what I will need in terms of boxes with lids for all the various building toys (k’nex, magnetix, lego, tinker toys) and in what sizes
  • throw away toys that are broken, missing pieces or have come from McDonald’s/Burger King ect
  • throw out old shoes from storage in his room
  • throw away unnecessary papers from his closet storage
  • measure windows for blinds
  • take out all the pillows from under his bed and sweep under there
  • reinflate the air mattress
  • wash all the linens and blankets off his bed
  • clean up/tidy his desk area
  • go through clothes
    • donate clothes that will no longer fit him
    • what needs to be repaired that still fits
    • what needs to be thrown out
  • move cat tower back to living room
  • move his books to his bookshelf under his bed area
  • wash floors
 
GirlChild’s Room (Thursday after work):
  • sweep floor
  • go through toys
  • look into what I will need in terms of boxes with lids for all the various toys (barbies/dolls, play food, ponies, dress up stuff) and in what sizes
  • throw away toys that are broken, missing pieces or have come from McDonald’s/Burger King ect
  • measure windows for blinds
  • move bed and sweep/wash underneath
  • wash all the linens and blankets off  bed
  • go through clothes
    • donate clothes that will no longer fit
    • what needs to be repaired that still fits
    • what needs to be thrown out
  • move the bag that came with the bed to under the bed
  • find a space for either shelving or a small table/desk area
  • wash floors
  • clean top of dresser
 
My Room (Friday after work):
  • wash bedding
  • take extra bedding out from under bed and in closet, and fold up and store under bed NEATLY
  • take storage items from under the bed and put into the hall closet (Christmas items, minus the tree)
  • take Pack’N Play to the car to take to consignment
  • put wine glasses in kitchen
  • take all clothes out of the suitcase and put suitcase away
  • go through shirts/sweaters, pants/jeans, and underwear and get rid of things that are no longer worn or have not been worn in a year
  • find matches for socks, throw away matchless socks
  • store all underwear in basket for now
  • hang up all pants and shirts in closet
  • get rid of the broken air mattress
  • go through junk jewlry and decide what to keep and what to donate/toss
  • go through formal wear and get rid of dresses that are not needed
  • try to find corner desk for laptop and printer to move into bedroom
  • go through stuff in closet and determine what is not necessary and can be decluttered
    • find a place to put the needleworks in the house (3 needleworks)
    • find a place to put up my degrees and certificates
  • pack up things to donate
  • replace the BYOB for G’s parents (thanks to the stalker popping it)
  • sweep under futon
  • wash floors
  • FIND DRESSER ONLINE or second hand!
 
Bathroom (Saturday/Sunday):
  • take all items out of bathroom closet
    • throw away makeup older than 1 year
    • throw away old parts of soap
    • move hand soaps to under sink
    • move feminine supplies to under sink
    • move toilet paper to a shelf the cats can’t get at
    • put litter into closet so it isn’t out all the time (need a smaller container!)
    • throw way things that no one uses (or donate them)
    • put towels onto second shelf so they are easy to reachs
  • take everything off top of closet thing (get rid of any K’s stuff)
  • take everything off the sink/toilet, around the tub and by the window
  • scrub sink, around the tub, around the window, and behind the toilet
  • throw away old bottles from shampoo/conditioner
  • wash mirror
  • clean toilet
  • clean litter boxes and wash them out
  • wash tub
  • sweep floor
  • wash floors
  • rearrange cabinet under the sink area
  • wipe down toilet, door knobs, and cabinet doors with Lysol
  • scrub around toilet (shampoo spilled)
  • wipe down walls
 
 
  Car:
  • take out boxes from trunk 
    • get rid of junk in boxes
    • get rid of damned boxes
  • rearrange trunk area
  • get rid of junk from front seat
  • go through side pockets and throw away unnecessary stuff
  • put all the car taking care of stuff in one area (filing box?)
  • take monies out of cup holder, clean and put in kids’ jar
  • remove things from seat divider
  • shake out floor mats
  • wash car (laugh)
