Frozen Nowhere

Immediately upon finishing her pizza G announced she was going to go start her car. I cleaned up after the kids, made sure everything was put in garbage cans and such, wiped up sticky children-types, and tidied up as much as I could, then I went out to start MY car (which hadn’t been plugged in since noon, and at that time the temperature was dropping) and RGG’s car as well, to keep them from freezing up. RGG’s car (SUV, really) started quickly with no protest… so whatever he and his father had done to his battery had done the trick.

Okay… so I think I have had enough sulking on the topic of past friendships… I know, I know… right now, being the season of “death” and “Limbo” this is a very timely issue to deal with. But, seriously, it still hurts and the more I take out the fresh hurt and jab around at it, the less it can heal.

So my weeks tend to start around 5pm on Sundays… I know, an unusual time, but that’s how it is. Either I recieve my children back into my home at this time or STBX picks them up to go to his house at this time… and so this is the demarcation between the time I am a parent and the time I am lonely. I have the cats, I have friends, but for the most part I miss my kids the weeks they are gone and crave the weeks they are here.
